On Friday April 30, 2021, TRALUX CONSTRUCTION laid the first stone of the Arsenal building in the city of Luxembourg. It will be, with the Icone building in Belval, the future Luxembourg headquarters of the Société Générale bank.

The first stone ceremony took place with Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, the CEO of Société Générale, Frédéric Oudea, and the CEO of Société Générale Luxembourg, Arnaud Jacquemin, in attendance, as well as Franck Becherel, Director of Construction at DEMATHIEU BARD.

The two buildings in the city of Luxembourg and Belval will become the workplaces of the bank’s Luxembourg teams, totaling 1,330 people. The site will be perfectly adapted to new ways of working, with spacious areas for collaborative work accounting for over 30% of their total surface area. What’s more, the buildings will meet stringent environmental standards, holding HQE Excellent and BREEAM Very Good and Exceptional labels.

The Arsenal building will be built on the site of the current headquarters, which are set to be demolished. The new building will contain 700 workstations across 9,700 m2—almost 2,000 m2 more than the previous structure.

Il sera réparti surThe complex will consist of three buildings: trois volumes :
– The first will have 8 stories, with two basement levels, and include the welcome area and office spaces
– The second will span six stories and mostly consist of office spaces
– The third will form an immense base for the entire complex, with a 250-seat auditorium and a multifunctional business center, made up of a number of modular spaces as well as interactive and comfortable living spaces. It will also include fitness and relaxation areas for employees

The Arsenal building is set for handover in 2023.
