At its meeting on June 25, 2024, the Supervisory Board of DEMATHIEU BARD Group decided to appoint Stéphane Monceaux as Chairman of the Group’s Executive Board. René Simon is appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board, and Philippe Bard, the great grandson of the company’s founder, is appointed Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board. These appointments take effect immediately.
A graduate of École Polytechnique and École des Mines de Paris, Stéphane Monceaux spent over 24 years of his career with a French construction group. He held several executive management positions, in particular in the infrastructure and civil engineering business lines both in France and internationally, eventually becoming Chairman of the Executive Board. More recently, he has put his experience to use in co-founding a company that builds housing outside France, bringing together all real estate development businesses into a multi-cultural approach.
Stéphane Monceaux, Chairman of the Executive Board, stated: “I would like to thank the members of the Supervisory Board and especially Philippe Bard and René Simon, who have, for the past 30 years, contributed on the essential projects and major transformations that have built DEMATHIEU BARD into a sound, world-class group with strong roots in its regions. My actions, alongside the people of DEMATHIEU BARD, compel me to follow on in this path of outstanding growth in line with the Group’s identity, as I can grasp all its strength and commitment.”
René Simon, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, added: “Since Stéphane Monceaux joined us, we have been passing down the expertise needed to ensure a smooth transition within the Executive Board of DEMATHIEU BARD Group. We fully trust in Stéphane’s abilities to take the Group forward in its development, guided by a common vision: Stéphane dares to take a different approach while respecting the DNA of our Group, which has been shaped by its independence, goals of long-term success, and the human values that we all share. Stéphane will have my support and that of Philippe Bard, whose detailed knowledge of the Group has significantly contributed to its development.”
