OSMOSE OFFICE BUILDING IN STRASBOURG

Construction of an eight-story office building covering 15,000 m² for European institutions in the Wacken international business district in Strasbourg.
All-trades contract.

CONSTRUCTION METHOD

  • • Foundations on hollow auger piles
  • • Floors: cast in place for the infrastructure, reinforced concrete precast slabs + compression slab for the superstructure
  • • Walls: mostly cast in place for the infrastructure, mostly precast for the superstructure (elevator shafts and stairwells)
  • • Beams: cast in place for the infrastructure and precast (reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete) for the superstructure
  • • Staircases: flights in precast reinforced concrete

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • • Two underground levels, with the water table lowered in order to build the lower level
  • • Curtain wall facades
  • • Three accessible green terraces
