Project owner: DAIMLER / SMART France
General contractor: GEICO
Project manager: KARDHAM
Design office - structure: CTE & SEDIME
Subcontractor: DEMATHIEU BARD CONSTRUCTION
Duration of works: 10 months

CONSTRUCTION SCOPE

The structure is an industrial building housing automated (Process) vehicle-painting lines.
It consists of a process hall and technical premises, together with tertiary / cloakroom / social spaces.
The infrastructure consists of isolated footings with column support blocks, embankments, industrial paving with strong anti-cracking constraints. Sealed concrete pits for installing the chemical treatment vats for bodywork.
The superstructure is heavy industrial type with concrete posts/beams (executed by our subsidiary CAPREMIB), and precast walls and floor.
The building envelope is comprised of a metal frame roof, a sealing layer, a secondary metal frame facade supporting insulating sandwich panels and aluminum joinery.
We are also responsible for all-trades execution of the social spaces.
Our contract has specific features due to the context and substantial planning challenges to limit the impact of the works for the customer.
